The Southern Fire Exchange is the regional fire science communication program for the 11 southern US states. Funded by the Joint Fire Science Program (JFSP), we work with regional partners to increase the use of fire science and improve the relevance of future fire research. By connecting the fire management and science communities, we make Southern wildland fire management more effective, more efficient, and safer for practitioners and the public. SFE is a collaboration among the University of Florida, Tall Timbers Research Station, and North Carolina State University and a member of the nationwide Fire Science Exchange Network.
